Is day 8 too soon to have a slight twinge of irritability?
I don't think so :) haha
It was just for a second and then it passed. Towards the end of the day my kids got a little more talkative than usual. We had computer and I can't say I particularly like computer time. Maybe once they get used to working on them it will be better. Next week I think I am going to tackle the smartboard so they can follow what I am doing on there.
Today I made a small child cry! :( I didn't mean to!
We were talking about the number zero and I was asking my students things that they want zero of. One little girl raised her hand and said she had another thing. She said "I want zero of (student name) ever getting better." (one of my students is out of school today and tomorrow for surgery) And I looked at her and I said "What do you mean?" and she repeated what she said. Well...I said "Well that is not very nice." I of course said that in nice teacher tone. Well, her little chin started quivering and she cried. yup.
I then realized that she didn't know what she said and that she was not being mean. haha.

I think I am going to read Bartholomew and the oobleck next week. Then we will MAKE OOBLECK!?!!! I think I made oobleck in grade school. We will see how it works out!

Tomorrow I get to go to Yankton to the lake and I am SOOO excited!
My principal's wife and I were talking about meeting people in Inwood and she asked if I was interested in becoming an EMT! whooaaa.
She also invited me to go to a bonfire next Friday at one of her friend's houses. She said that one of my student's parents will probably be there. I am thinking I might go. It would most likely be good for me; however, it is slight intimidating!
