Back In the Center of Sioux

WELL!!
I am officially a college graduate. yay! It has been good being back in Iowa...seeing people...eating bamboo garden...and being back at Niessink. Today is my day off and the rest of the week is pretty busy. I am a primary of one of the boys at Niessink now...which means I need to take care of his treatment plan...take him shopping...be in contact with parents and case manager/social worker...attend his IEP meeting in the fall...and so on. I am excited for this; however, the boy has a staffing in one week...and i have never had to do this before. This is a meeting with his teacher, parents, social worker/case worker...and whoever else needs to be there. We review his goals and objectives and his progress and all that. SO! tomorrow will be a long day of both working on the floor and also learning how to do complete all the paper work that goes along with it.
I have also been nominated to come up with a curriculum for teaching the boys life skills and other things for the summer. We can no longer hold summer school at the home so we have to do something new. I am thinking about teaching them board games, gardening, cooking, crafts...any other suggestions?? I also have to come up with a pre-vocational curriculum that the boys who are old enough to work can go through when they aren't working. I am not sure when this all has to be done; however....school is done this friday...so i am assuming SOON! uuhhoohh
