Lots of Stuff!
Well i haven't posted for a while...and a lot of stuff has been going on!
Two weeks ago I had spring break and my sister came out to visit! It was a lot of fun and really good just to hang out with her because we don't normally get that much time to do that. I got to see her precious little tummy with little one inside. I am so excited for August to roll around because i will have three new nieces/nephews! While Julie was here we went all over LA. We went and saw two of her friends from college. One in Hollywood and one in Pasadena. We got to go to the beach and it was marvelous. We also got to spend A LOT of time in the car together! I felt like it was one of our road trips from some years back; however, this time Julie wasn't yelling at me for not reading the map right :) And even though some people may think that i am not good at driving...you know who you are, just because of that one day when i got really confused...I am doing a fine job driving in la.
I also got to hang out with Dusty and Jesse for a couple days. They came out from phoenix which was sweet. There was a little mishap with some ground beef in the car...thankfully my car no longer smells like dead animals! Julie is a little sensitive to smells and that definitely didn't help that situation haha.
Well since then...i have completed my first week of teaching math and science. This week i am teaching bible, math, science and social studies. Teaching Bible is going to be a stretching experience for me. I have to learn Bible memory verses and try to tell Bible stories by heart...this might be interesting. I think that i have my first Bible memory verse memorized for the most part, good thing its not long!!! Next week is my full week of teaching and then i start giving things back. craziness.
I got my car checked out today. I have to get some belt changed...oh and i guess that i have been driving without my rear brakes. eek! No idea how long that has been like that!
This past weekend Janelle came over Friday nite. It was nice to just hang out and relax. It reminded me of times in Southview 205...watching Miami Ink for hours and hours...eating mac and cheese! And on Saturday Kim and her host brother, Jared, and I went to Disneyland! It was pretty fun. It reminded me of being a child again. Everything seemed so much bigger when i was little. I got soaked on Splash Mountain. You see...the first time we went on, I got wet but Jared got the brunt of it because he was in the front. The second time we went I somehow got tricked into being in the front...kim and jared both ran to different spots on the ride. So there were three drops. The second and third ones were what did it to me. They were like tidal waves. my hair...face...shirt...jeans...sandals. EVERYTHING! I felt like my mom because I remember in King's Island on family vacation when i was little, she didn't want to get wet...like she REALLY didn't want to get wet. We all assured her that it would be okay. We went on one water ride as a family at the very end of the day...those circle floaty tube things that you go down a river on and there are those sprayers that shoot up...and those sprayers definitely targeted her. she was so wet hahahaha. oh man...good memories.

I showed Mom, Dad, Grandma, and Lary the pictures from spring break this weekend, including the ground beef one. They just shook their heads like, "Oh, Rebekah." I also told the ground beef story to two of my classes while we were discussing a poem that involved a line about stinking meat. :)
