Lately...

Well I am finally not sick which is amazing. This past week my advisor from school came to observe our classrooms. She came to mine Wednesday morning and she told me that there is a night and day difference from when I started until now. That was really encouraging to hear especially because sometimes you feel like you are doing nothing and these kids aren't getting anything. Of course there are still machine guns sometimes...disrespect...swearing...crawling in the classroom and everything else; however, it has improved. Perfect example!!! one of my students who struggles academically and behaviorally earned both of his stickers on Thursday and his sticker on Friday!!! He was really excited. He kept saying "Ms. Oudman, do I get to pick out of the prize bag?" And then we would go over what he needed to do in order to pick out of it and he would tell me..and do it! He had his moments but overall he had two amazing days.

I think that having Cella come and also having two goods days is just what I needed because I was getting pretty negative at times...which some of you know and have experienced haha :)

On Thursday we had a Valentine's Day party at school. The kids were SO excited!
