This Week

This has been an interesting week with a snow day, two late starts and a day where students started getting picked up at 12:30. I am also kinda sick, along with everyone else around here, and I keep on losing my voice which makes teaching a little more challenging.
Today only 8 out of 14 students were at school...and then one left because he was sick. So we had half of the class. Tuesday was the worst day so far because some of my students have no respect for anyone and they don't give a shit. however! Today and yesterday were much better. Yesterday everyone actually got to pick out of the prize bags because they earned both of their stars! Today 6 out of the 7 students got to...the one who didn't got really mad and while i was talking to him at his desk he slammed his fists down an inch or two away from my face and i thought he was going to hit me...but he got over it.
Tomorrow is a half day and then i have staff development...dumb dumb dumb. Last week we had a guy come in and talk about stocks and bonds and personal finance. It was rifrickindiculous.
Next week...Monday I have parent teacher conferences from noon until 7. Then starting Tuesday the class is mine. I am excited yet what if they don't listen? what if they overtake me and tie me up or tape me to my chair like i have wanted to do to them!? My teacher is keeping her phone on her though and she will be in the school, that way i can text her if i really feel like i need help. Thursday she will be gone gone...out of the school gone. She said that i am doing a really good job and she isn't worried about me at all, so that is good.
i can't believe i only have four weeks left here.
