09/09/09

I taught my kids today that the date was 09/09/09 and they thought it was pretty cool :)
Today was a pretty good day! We sang the song "Father Abraham" and I had to make sure none of my kids were smacking each other! It was a lot of fun though. We also tried to play heads up 7 up for a few minutes at the end of the day; however, I haven't played that game in years and I couldn't remember how to play! So there were disagreements in how to play it between the kids...but such is life!
I felt a lot better about today than yesterday!! I just need to slow down every once in a while and make my head stop racing. Like I have said before, there is so much to do and so little time! So...I just need to take a step back and make sure that everything that I am doing is important!
I am going to make a new centers system. I might make one out of yarn and clothespins. I am going to brainstorm some more.

I watched the movie "Boy in the Striped Pajamas" last night. It was a great movie but I should have taken my sisters advice and maybe not watch it by myself! Next time I will listen I promise. I don't think I have cried that hard in a movie for a loooonngg time!

My kids have been tired lately and after lunch before last recess they talk about how they are tired and their brains hurt lol!

I hate it when kids are gone from school because the catch up they have to do is irritating! AND! if we have "Unfinished Folders" WHY DO KIDS JUST SHOVE PAPERS IN THEIR DESKS!?!?! I will never understand.

I wanted to do the 'oobleck' experiment....however....i guess 3rd and 4th grade just did it last week :( I want to do something fun like that! So if you have any suggestions let me know! Maybe we will make Fredrick the mouse...I remember doing that in 1st grade.
