weekend in Zwolle

So this past weekend Annie, Audrey and I decided to take a break from traveling. Friday afternoon we went to Amsterdam right after classes. We went in and out of souvenier shops...every souvenier shop...a lot of the same things in every single one. It was nice for a while until we got sick of seeing marijuana everywhere and naked postcards. Saturday we went to the market. It was so cold and windy but we needed kibbeling and stroopwaffels. We also went into this store called Xenos. They had a bunch of cheap stuff and of course we had to buy it especially if it is only a euro. After the market we went home and had coffee with Arie and Lita. oh yeah!! it was SUNNY!!! That is always an exciting thing around here. Saturday night Annie came over and we made dinner and watched Skeleton Key. After seeing it the first time last semester, i swore that i would never watch it again because i was so scared. My roomies told me that they were going to get red jello powder and put it in front of my door. But i watched it again. Annie decided it would be funny to scare me...good thing no one was home cuz i don't think i have screamed that loud in a while. Sunday Audrey and I took a walk to the dike and by the ijssle. On the way back we stopped by the ponies by our house. They are so cute! The little brown one is my favorite. The rest of the day was filled with coffee, tea and cookies. Oh yeah...and studying for dutch.
