Sweet Picture

All of us in the movie pretending we were Beer Bottles

On Tuesday we only had one class (Theology) until 11:45. So Dustin, Bryan, Audrey, Annie and I decided to take a trip to Amsterdam for the rest of the day. We were thinking about going to de Hague or up north but we decided we wanted to do that on a different day because we weren't sure what we wanted to see there. So we got on the train and headed for Amsterdam. Bryan and Dustin told us about the Heineken Brewery also called "The Heineken Experience" and we thought that sounded interesting. It was pretty cool. We read about the history of Heineken and watched commercials that Heineken made from 1952 until present day. They had a little movie thing that we went into. It made you feel like you were a Heineken bottle...sort of. There were also these things that you could send videomessages and moviemessages...which some of you received :) The admission fee was 10 euro. However, it was quite worth it because we could get three free drinks and a gift at the end. The gift was a Heineken tin and a Heineken glass. Pretty sweet. After that we went walking through Amsterdam and ate pizza at Sbarro. Then we took the train home and went to the bars at night. Today we had Art and Architecture class and Culture and Society. In A&A we talked about different styles of churches and how the soctiey affected the style at certain times. It was really interesting. I think i will really like that class. I think i will also like C&S. The professor (Kees Van Loon) is pretty crazy...i like him a lot. He showed us his bike that he can fold up and carry with him. We also watched a movie about the 11 city tour for skating up in Friesland. After school we came home and i had a good conversation with Lita about some of the differences between America and Holland. Its good to hear her perspective on things.
